After using this camera from Decathlon for under a month I’ve fallen for it, I’ve used it abroad, in training sessions and in a recent 10k race. And it’s something I’ll continue to use.
Straight out of the box, after a quick charge it’s really easy to use, with a simple design. The 2” LCD touchscreen is great to use to view my photos and videos.
Using its smartphone application, it connects to my iPhone via WIFI and is easy to review, download, record etc. from my phone. Also it comes with a USB cable to download to your computer/MAC and download to edit or view accordingly.
In terms of life of the battery it lasts for approx. 3 hours. I used it for a recent 10k race, recorded before the race, then the entire race and then afterwards. And I still had well over the half battery left.
Price wise it’s very reasonable at £129.99 which includes Decathlon’s two year warranty for piece of mind.

This Full HD camera captures a wide range of film quality from 720p all the way to 4K (up to 60 frames per second) and the quality comes across in the videos, whether you want to take slow motion or fast action videos.
The G-EYE 900 offers 4 photo resolutions from a postcode all the way up to A2. (5, 8, 12, 16 million pixels) with lots of settings from burst and time lapse to use.
To be honest there’s a lot of great features, many of which I haven’t touched upon. If your like me, i.e. take it out of the box and shoot videos from the off you can do it. But I’m still learning the best ways to use it and what are the best accessories to use to get the best quality photos and videos.
Included in the pack is housing which is water resistant (up to 40m) the mounts for the case and the camera can be used for GoPro accessories.
